GIFT NUMBER TWO – A fun and a powerful idea!
Here is a great video from the folks at Vital Smarts that shows us how framing decisions and the words we use to set up decisions dramatically impacts the choices others make and the results we get. Watch Does Santa Make Us Selfish? You’ll chuckle – but you’ll also learn what kids, Santa, and a little experiment can teach us about leadership, parenting and our lives.
One Response
Thank you so much for including the video. I watched it in conjunction with your Jan 7 post and it fits in so well. In a small group at my church, we have been reading and discussing Jonathan Haidt’s recent book, The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion. It supports your challenge to look at what we share in common, as well as the need to take the moral framework into consideration when we are trying to engage in productive dialogue.
